Yoga & Pilates have so many benefits for not only our bodies, but also our minds. In these classes we learn how to breathe optimally, move our bodies with greater ease and enjoy the feel of being in a community.
Through the practice of specific breathing exercises, you will learn to better manage stress and find some practical strategies for soothing your mind and improving your mood.
Questions you might have about joining our classes as a beginner
-
Yes. All of our classes can be adapted depending on your experience level. When you book your class, feel free to add that you are new, and what you’re looking for. Or drop me an email.

Yoga has many benefits for the body and the mind. As we move mindfully, you will become more aware of your body’s tension patterns, and understand how to move with them to release them, rather than working against them, as you gradually become more mobile and stronger.
Working with the breath can be incredibly soothing for the nervous system, helping to reduce stress and promote a calmer outlook.
Every class ends with a deep, guided relaxation, which will invite your body and mind to release tension, let go of the stresses of the day and set you up for a good night’s sleep.
-
Yes. Regardless of your starting point, you will learn how to work WITH your body to create more ease in your movement, release tension and improve mobility. Where necessary, modifications will be offered, and props such as blankets, yoga blocks or straps can be used to ensure everyone enjoys the full benefit of every movement.

The classes are non-denominational and do not have any link with religion. While we draw from Eastern practices to learn techniques for calming the mind and helping you to feel more connected to yourself and those around you, these practices are in no way religious.
